We welcome donations

Your generous donation helps the Friends of Friendless Churches carry out vital work to rescue and protect closed historic churches.

If you are able to make a regular donation, this enables us to plan ahead and ensure resources are put to the best use.

If you’re a UK tax-payer, your donation may qualify for Gift Aid, enabling us to claim back the tax on your contribution at no additional cost to you. Thank you for your support.

If you would prefer to send a cheque or if you would like to discuss your donation, or a regular programme of giving, please contact the office using the details at the bottom of this page.

Leave a legacy

We are immensely grateful to those who have remembered us in their will over the years — it continues to make a great difference to our work.

Volunteer with us!

If you live near one of our churches or chapels, why not get involved?

As a small but busy charity with buildings in all corners of England and Wales, we need kind local people to be our eyes, ears and hands – helping to keep our churches safe, clean and well-presented, and open to visit, use and enjoy.

At some, we are fortunate to have local friends groups, bringing volunteers together to help care for the building and organise activities in and around it  — from bake sales and harvest suppers, to talks, music and guided tours.

Follow the link to find out more about what our volunteers do and how you can get involved.

Fundraise for churches

Are you a keen fundraiser? Would you like to give monthly to the FoFC? Or give as you shop?
There are lots of ways you can support our work by fundraising.

Here are a few of the easiest ways to raise money for the Friends of Friendless Churches.
If you have any questions about fundraising, please contact us.

This is a Government scheme where individuals can give to charity through their salary, as long as their employers participate in the scheme. It's a great way to give a monthly donation, before tax is deducted.

Find out more about Give As You Earn and ask your employer if they participate.

If you want to fundraise for the FoFC by organising an event – for example through a crochet marathon, bike ride, or garden party – you can use JustGiving to create a personal event page.

Donations will go straight to the Friends of Friendless Churches, minus a small fee.
