Visiting Friends’ Churches
We welcome everybody at our churches but sometimes extra care will be called for as they tend to be remote, and part of their charm is that they are without mod cons. Only a very few have heating or lighting and only one has a toilet.
Nearly all sit within churchyards which we don’t own. Only in exceptional cases will it be possible to get a car close. But on the plus side we take pride that most of the churches are open during the day.
1. The following churches should be open during daylight and there is no need to seek out a keyholder or give notice of an intention to visit. We give the settlement only, not the dedication.
Llancillo (key hanging in porch – the church is just locked to keep the sheep out)
Llanelieu (door is locked to keep out sheep but key notice in porch explains how to get the key)
Tal y Llyn
2. The following churches are kept locked but details of the keyholder are available on site or obtainable from the office.
3. For visits to the following churches do contact the office before you set off.
We hope you enjoy your visits to these beautiful churches, and please do let us know if you find anything amiss or you have any other comments to make.
